EcoFlow has just unveiled its newest “most powerful” and “easy to install” whole-home battery backup system. It’s the EcoFlow Delta Pro Ultra X, because after you’ve already ridden the superlative-laden Delta Pro Ultra in 2024, what do you do other than add a variable to its name? Apart from that, if you are using Solar panels at home, then you can charge the Delta Pro Ultra with these panels and save your electricity.
Maybe that X represents 60 percent, which is the increase in power output over its predecessor. The EcoFlow Delta Pro Ultra can produce 12kW of continuous output, now increased to 36kW when three inverters are in parallel. That’s sufficient to run a large central A/C, induction oven or EV charger.

The EcoFlow Delta Pro Ultra battery size ranges from 12kWh to a lofty 180kWh. By way of comparison, US home average daily use is some 29.2kWh according to the US Energy Information Administration. So, running a Delta Pro Ultra battery at full tilt could supply an entire house with power for around six days or even weeks if you’re doing things right and only plugging in the devices you absolutely need to be using after hiring EcoFlow to install its electrical panel.
The Delta Pro Ultra X operates with EcoFlow’s third-generation Smart Home Panel. The 200 amp panel is designed for use as a main panel or sub-panel to monitor and manage up to 32 circuits. That way, you will be able to quickly cut power to nonessential loads during a power failure.” Its Time-of-Use function will automatically charge and discharge the battery depending on current pricing or forecasted pricing in your area, and it connects to third-party gas generators, solar panels, and EV chargers.
And, like the Delta Pro Ultra X before it, the Ultra is modular. Which means you can scale the system up over time, take it with you when moving house, or even pack an inverter and some batteries into the trunk of your car and power a holiday home or RV from it, set up for summer.
EcoFlow Delta Pro Ultra is also riding on the ease of installation in the US, advertising to have 425 accredited installer partners, who span across just about every state, at least on paper. “The EcoFlow Delta Pro Ultra X system can be installed in less than seven business days from the time of appointment, just one day required for the on-site installation performed by EcoFlow-certified electricians,” according to the company in a press release with Tech Detour.
A Delta Pro Ultra X bundle, including the Ecoflow Delta Pro Ultra manual, the inverter unit, and two expansion batteries, is priced at $7,999. The package jumps up to $10,899 if you’d like the Smart Home Panel 3, which can be bought separately for $2,999.
