If you thought the internet couldn’t get faker any faster, prepare yourself: The people behind ChatGPT are developing an app that’s basically a Social Media network except where nothing is real. It’s called Sora App, and it’s a weird experiment that is intriguing and a tad disturbing.

The idea is simple: Sora is a social network for you and your buddies, but every single video on the platform is created by AI. Yes, you read that right. The app’s own disclaimer tells you that nothing is real, and that’s a wild place for social media to go.

But you can’t just download Sora and start scrolling through the weirdness. To join this club of AI-conjured content, you need an invite code. When you’re ready to join them on the other side of the digital velvet rope, this is what you need to get one.

How to get an invite code for OpenAI’s Sora app

To get an invite code for the Sora App, take these initial steps:-

  1. Download the Sora app from the Apple App Store. Make sure you pick the one with the navy and white cloud icon.
  2. Log in with your ChatGPT account or tap Use different account.
  3. Tap Notify me when access opens.
  4. In the pop-up window, allow Sora to send you push notifications.

OpenAI said in a post that it was beginning the initial rollout in the United States and Canada, and planned to expand rapidly to other countries. The company is giving priority Sora access to its paying Pro users.

After you receive an invite code, you will complete your Sora account setup. Then you can use Sora via the mobile app or website, and you will also receive four more invite codes to share with your friends.
