Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) keeps the option of adding scissor doors to the next generation of P7, along with offering the option on the predecessor, P7 Electric Sedan.
The next-gen P7 will retain the variant with scissor doors. Today, the Chinese manufacturer of electric vehicles stated this on Weibo, along with some pictures.
According to Xpeng, the variant will offer several exclusive bespoke features like an ultra luxurious matte silver exterior finish and a more extreme pure luxury sports experience.
Xpeng’s proprietary features include special sports seats, an exclusive gray inner cabin, illuminated step plates, an incredible set of 21 Inch forged wheels, trim panels wrapped with genuine carbon fiber, and even carbon fiber mirrors.

Xpeng’s P7 Electric Sedan first debuted at the 2019 Shanghai auto show and got its first release in April 2020, along with deliveries in mid-2020.
Xpeng refers to the P7 Wing Edition as the P7 flagship variant designed for enthusiasts, and thus, unveiled it at the Guangzhou auto show in November alongside a new set of features.
The P7 Wing Edition is designed with more scissor doors and a pop-up feature at the front, opening more stylishly compared to the regular P7.
To date, the P7 Wing Edition is the only model to offer the Xpeng scissor doors feature.

Just recently, Xpeng revealed the new P7 Electric Sedan on August 6, alongside the opening of pre-sales for the electric sedan.
“They have not said anything regarding the pre-sales price on the model; they will release the prices when the model launches at the end of this month or the beginning of next.”
“They further stated that the new generation P7 Targets models are priced at about RMB 300,000 ($41,840).
It is also very clear that the starting price of the P7 will not exceed the price of RMB 300,000, as the price of Xpeng’s other electric sedans, P7+, ranges from 186,800 to 208,800 RMB.
With the new P7, the user will have access to the 3 Turing AI Driving chips, which have 2250 TOPS semi-genomic computing power, making the P7 the model with the highest smart driving computing power.”

“They also expect this model to further enhance Xpeng’s brand appeal; on the other hand, Xpeng’s most popular model is the cheaper version, the Mona M03.”
“For example, in the month of July, there were 15,758 units of the Mona M03 sold, making it the 11th month in a row where the units exceeded 10,000,” said Caitd Research CnEV post.”
